The Legal Quagmire of Marijuana Regulation

This article highlights some of the most significant issues attorneys and their clients face as a result of the emergence of legalized marijuana. Specifically, the article considers (i) challenges posed to banks and other businesses, (ii) ethical obstacles confronting lawyers and (iii) employment law issues related to the legalization of marijuana, including the implications of the Colorado Supreme Court’s June 15th decision in Coats v. Dish Network.
